What happens to transparent backgrounds?

PNG and WebP retain transparency. JPEG fills transparent areas with white.

Is my original file changed?

No. A new file is created. Original metadata is not preserved in the converted result.

Can I convert HEIC or GIF files?

This version supports PNG, JPEG and WebP only. Animated WebP files are exported as still images.
