Frequently asked questions
Are my photos stored on a server?
No. Photos and results are processed in browser memory without uploading or saving them to a server.
Will the output always be smaller?
An already compressed image may become larger. Check the result and lower the quality or change the format. A target file size is not guaranteed.
What happens to quality and transparency?
JPEG and WebP re-encoding is lossy. WebP supports transparency; JPEG fills transparent pixels with white. Animation becomes a still image and original metadata is not preserved.
