Support & FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is my video stored on a server?

No. Input and output stay in browser memory without upload or operator storage. Clear the file or close the page to release it. Downloaded files remain on your device.

Which video formats are supported?

Input must use codecs this browser can decode; MP4, MOV or WebM extensions alone do not guarantee playback. The output list includes only MP4 / WebM types the browser reports it can record. Encoding can still fail due to device resources.

Are cuts frame-exact?

No. The selected range is played and re-encoded in real time. Small boundary differences are possible. Output is up to 30 FPS and 1280px long edge, rather than lossless, frame-exact professional editing.

Can I mute and resize together?

Yes. Remove audio omits the audio track from the output. The long-edge setting reduces dimensions without upscaling. File size reduction is not guaranteed; quality and metadata may differ from the source.

Does it work on iPhone?

It depends on browser decoding, canvas capture and MediaRecorder support. Unsupported export is explained, and PNG capture may still work. Switching tabs or locking the screen cancels export. This has not been tested on every iPhone.

How do crop and frame capture work?

After rotation, the center is cropped to 1:1, 16:9, 9:16 or 4:3. Free-position cropping is not included. PNG capture applies the current rotation, flip and size settings at the current playback position. Use videos you own or have permission to edit.
